I am cranky. Best economy in years and years but let's gang up on Prez. Bush even though almost all of us were for the war when it was "fun."

Now Google has me cranky. They almost refuse to help the Justice Department in the War on Terror but they'll sell their soul to China for a fast buck. So much for their convictions of protecting people's rights.

Hope you can hear me out...

Every time I watch the news I remember why I rarely watch the news. The 2nd guessing about the Iraq war while our soldiers fight and some die for our country. Some senators and activists have called our troops terms that I will not describe here.

The same politicians who agreed for the Prez. to do whatever it took to oust Saddam are now saying we shouldn't of gone there. Pres. Bush almost never calls out his critics by name while they lamblast his nightly. They try to hurt the Prez and if our soldiers are hurt by their words with this "unjust" war and if our enemies are helped by these same words, oh well. At least they took a cheap shot at the President!

Email me if you want me to research what I'm about to say in greater detail, but from my past research, college classes, etc. I know it to be true:

1942 - WW2 - FDR and his military leaders commited many mistakes costing 1,000's of American lives. It took time to learn how to fight in the hedgerows of Normandy and the jungles in the Pacific. We got beat many of these first big battles in the land and sea by the Japanese and Germans.

What would a majority-liberal media do to the President if that happened today? Let's not forget that America were solid isolationists until Pearl Harbor and the public was more gullible to this new media age. Thank God for propaganda!!

1952 - Korean War - What would the media say today if we got involved in a civil war to fight communism half the world away? What would they say if the military leader Patton angered the Chinese by his words and actions that instead of almost helping the South Koreans win that war that over a million Chinese stormed down and caused our armed forces into the greatest retreats in US history? Yes, we counter attacked and won a "tie" but I can hear the media now...

1963 - Some won't believe me, but a Democratic president got us started in Vietnam with advisors and some combat troops. I don't think the media were too upset at him for this. After he was killed, his VP Johnson, started the rapid troop build up as part of the Truman Doctrine against Communism.

2002 - Bin Laden goes on international TV and speaks about how weak Americans are and points to us leaving Somolia, Beruit, and other hot spots before we get the job done.

Now we're fighting in Iraq. It's gone amazingly well. 3 elections in a year by a population forced to live in a brutal dictatorship for years and years. Yes, our Humvees should of been better protected. Yes, we should of found WMD's. (But Bush was going on info. used by ALL foreign governments. Even Arab countries knew he had WMD's, had USED WMD's in the Iran war and against the Kurds.)

But after looking at history... we're doing pretty good in lessoning our mistakes. I don't hear too much about UN's mistakes in letting Saddam slide for years and years while acting so quickly in Yugoslovia...) I think Saddam had plenty of time to hide or move his WMD's.

Lastly, all this goes to show that while the UN, Democrats, and the media are ready to keep making the errors of the past in politicing a WAR, Prez. Bush knows that a leader presses on to do what is right to get our troops home as quick as possible, no matter the costs to his presidency.

I've been away for awhile. (Actually, I've been on the computer busy
doing other things, so I guess I haven't been "away," but I complicate
matters by saying this.) Anyway, this blog might make a comeback
soon so stay tuned!

Much has happened lately in the world and let's remember the
"good news" like yet another successful election in Iraq, troops
will now slowly be cut back there, our economy is growing and all
these interest rate increases are trying to hold off inflation, Prez.
Bush is doing a good job those he won't get credit for any of the
above but get's blamed for all the bad, etc.

But the best Good News of all is that Jesus loves all of us so much
that he was willing to be seperated from the Father, God, for ALL
of our sins. Consider some of my links for more information or

I found some things not listed here in support of Prez. Bush but here's some things he's done or doing so far from 2001-2004 I don't support all of this but let's give the man some credit during these though times and fighting the Party of "NO":

Abortion & Traditional Values

1. Banned Partial Birth Abortion — by far the most significant roll-back of abortion on demand since Roe v. Wade.
2. Reversed Clinton's move to strike Reagan's anti-abortion Mexico Policy.
3. By Executive Order (EO), reversed Clinton's policy of not requiring parental consent for abortions under the Medical Privacy Act.
4. By EO, prohibited federal funds for international family planning groups that provide abortions and related services.
5. Upheld the ban on abortions at military hospitals.
6. Made $33 million available for abstinence education programs in 2004.
7. Supports the Defense of Marriage Act — and a Constitutional amendment saying marriage is between one man and one woman.
8. Requires states to conduct criminal background checks on prospective foster and adoptive parents.
9. Requires districts to let students transfer out of dangerous schools.
10. Requires schools to have a zero-tolerance policy for classroom disruption (reintroducing discipline into classrooms).
11. Signed the Teacher Protection Act, which protects teachers from lawsuits related to student discipline.
12. Expanded the role of faith-based and community organizations in after-school programs.

Budget, Taxes & Economy

1. Signed two income tax cuts, one of which was the largest dollar-value tax cut in world history.
2. Supports permanent elimination of the death tax.
3. Turned around an inherited economy that was in recession, and deeply shocked as a result of the 9/11 attacks.
4. Is seeking legislation to amend the Constitution to give the president line-item veto authority.
5. In process of permanently eliminating IRS marriage penalty.
6. Increased small business incentives to expand and to hire new people.
7. Initiated discussion on privatizing Social Security and individual investment accounts.
8. Killed Clinton's "ergonomic" rules that OSHA was about to implement; rules would have shut down every home business in America.
9. Passed tough new laws to hold corporate criminals to account as a result of corporate scandals.
10. Reduced taxes on dividends and capital gains.
11. Signed trade promotion authority.
12. Reduced and is working to ultimately eliminate the estate tax for family farms and ranches.
13. Fight Europe's ban on importing biotech crops from the United States.
14. Exempt food from unilateral trade sanctions and embargoes.
15. Provided $20 million to states to help people with disabilities work from home.
16. Created a fund to encourage technologies that help the disabled.
17. Increased the annual contribution limit on Education IRA's from $500 to $2,000 per child.
18. Make permanent the $5,000 adoption tax credit and provide $1 billion over five years to increase the credit to $10,000.
19. Grant a complete tax exemption for prepaid or college tuition savings plans.
20. Reduced H1B visas from a high of 195,000 per year to 66,000 per year.

Character & Conduct as President

1. Changed the tone in the White House, restoring HONOR and DIGNITY to the presidency.
2. Has reintroduced the mention of God and faith into public discourse.
3. Handled himself with enormous courage, dignity, grace, determination, and leadership in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 hijackings and anthrax attacks.

Education & Employment Training

1. Signed the No Child Left Behind Act, delivering the most dramatic education reforms in a generation (challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations). The very liberal California Teachers union is currently running radio ads against the accountability provisions of this Act.
2. Announced "Jobs for the 21st Century," a comprehensive plan to better prepare workers for jobs in the new millennium by strengthening post-secondary education and job training, and by improving high school education.
3. Is working to provide vouchers to low-income students in persistently failing schools to help with costs of attending private schools. (Blocked in the Senate.)
4. Requires annual reading and math tests in grades three through eight.
5. Requires states to participate in the National Assessment of Education Progress, or an equivalent program, to establish a national benchmark for academic performance.
6. Requires school-by-school accountability report cards.
7. Established a $2.4 billion fund to help states implement teacher accountability systems.
8. Increased funding for the Troops-to-Teachers program, which recruits former military personnel to become teachers.

Environment & Energy

1. Killed the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty. (Not proven and doesn't take into account countries like Mexico and other major offenders.)
2. Submitted a comprehensive Energy Plan (awaits Congressional action). The plan works to develop cleaner technology, produce more natural gas here at home, make America less dependent on foreign sources of energy, improve national grid, etc.
3. Established a $10 million grant program to promote private conservation initiatives.
4. Significantly eased field-testing controls of genetically engineered crops.
5. Changed parts of the Forestry Management Act to allow necessary cleanup of the national forests in order to reduce fire danger.
6. Part of national forests cleanup: Restricted judicial challenges (based on the Endangered Species Act and other challenges), and removed the need for an Environmental Impact Statement before removing fuels/logging to reduce fire danger.
7. Killed Clinton's CO2 rules that were choking off all of the electricity surplus to California.
8. Provided matching grants for state programs that help private landowners protect rare species.

Defense & Foreign Policy

1. Successfully executed two wars in the aftermath of 9/11/01: Afghanistan and Iraq. 50 million people who had lived under tyrannical regimes now live in freedom.
2. Saddam Hussein is now in prison. His two murderous sons are dead. All but a handful of the regime's senior members were killed or captured.
3. Leader by leader and member by member, al Maida is being hunted down in dozens of countries around the world. Of the senior al Qaeda leaders, operational managers, and key facilitators the U.S. Government has been tracking, nearly two-thirds have been taken into custody or killed. The detentions or deaths of senior al Qaeda leaders, including Khalid Shaykh Muhammad, the mastermind of 9/11, and Muhammad Atef, Osama bin Laden's second-in-command until his death in late 2001, have been important in the War on Terror.
4. Disarmed Libya of its chemical, nuclear and biological WMD's without bribes or bloodshed.
5. Continues to execute the War On Terror, getting worldwide cooperation to track funds/terrorists. Has cut off much of the terrorists' funding, and captured or killed many key leaders of the al Qaeda network.
6. Initiated a comprehensive review of our military, which was completed just prior to 9/11/01, and which accurately reported that ASYMMETRICAL WARFARE capabilities were critical in the 21st Century.
7. Killed the old US/Soviet Union ABM Treaty that was preventing the U.S. from deploying our ABM defenses.
8. Has been one of the strongest, if not THE strongest friend Israel has ever hand in the U.S. presidency.
9. Part of the coalition for an Israeli/Palestinian "Roadmap to Peace," along with Great Britain, Russia and the EU.
10. Pushed through THREE raises for our military. Increased military pay by more than $1 billion a year.
11. Signed the LARGEST nuclear arms reduction in world history with Russia.
12. Started withdrawing our troops from Bosnia, and has announced withdrawal of our troops from Germany and the Korean DMZ.
13. Prohibited putting U.S. troops under U.N. command.
14. Paid back UN dues only in return for reforms and reduction of U.S. share of the costs.
15. Earmarked at least 20 percent of the Defense procurement budget for next-generation weaponry.
16. Increased defense research and development spending by at least $20 billion from fiscal 2002 to 2006.
17. Ordered a comprehensive review of military weapons and strategy.
18. Ordered a review of overseas deployments.
19. Ordered renovation of military housing. The military has already upgraded about 10 percent of its inventory and expects to modernize 76,000 additional homes this year.
20. Is working to tighten restrictions on military-technology exports.
21. Brought back our EP-3 intel plane and crew from China without any bribes or bloodshed.

Globalization & Internationalism

1. Challenged the United Nations to live up to their responsibilities and not become another League of Nations (in other words, showed the UN to be completely irrelevant).
2. Killed U.S. involvement in the International Criminal Court.
3. Told the United Nations we weren't interested in their plans for gun control (i.e., the International Ban on Small Arms Trafficking Treaty).*
4. The only President since the founding of the UN to essentially tell that organization it is irrelevant. He said: "The conduct of the Iraqi regime is a threat to the authority of the United Nations, and a threat to peace. Iraq has answered a decade of UN demands with a decade of defiance. All the world now faces a test, and the United Nations a difficult and defining moment. Are Security Council resolutions to be honored and enforced, or cast aside without consequence? Will the United Nations serve the purpose of its founding, or will it be irrelevant?" We all know the outcome and the answer.
5. Told the Congress and the world, "America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country."

Government Reform

1. Improved government efficiency by putting hundreds of thousands of jobs put up for bid. This weakens public-sector unions and cuts undeserved pay raises.
2. Initiated review of all federal agencies with the goal of eliminating federal jobs (completed September 2003) in an effort to reduce the size of the federal government while increasing private sector jobs.
3. Led the most extensive reorganization the Federal bureaucracy in over 50 years: After 9/11, condensed 20+ overlapping agencies and their intelligence sectors into one agency, the Department of Homeland Security.*
4. Ordered each agency to draft a five-year plan to restructure itself, with fewer managers.
5. Converted federal service contracts to performance-based contracts wherever possible so that the contractor has measurable performance goals.

Health

1. Strengthen the National Health Service Corps to put more physicians in the neediest areas, and make its scholarship funds tax-free.
2. Double the research budget of the National Institutes of Health.
3. Signed Medicare Reform, which includes:

A 10-year privatization option.

Prescription drug benefits: Prior to this reform, Medicare paid for extended hospital stays for ulcer surgery, for example, at a cost of about $28,000 per patient. Yet Medicare would not pay for the drugs that eliminate the cause of most ulcers, drugs that cost about $500 a year. Now, drug coverage under Medicare will allow seniors to replace more expensive surgeries and hospitalizations with less expensive prescription medicine.

Homeland Security, Border Enforcement & Immigration

1. *See Government Reform above. Under President Bush's leadership, America has made an unprecedented commitment to homeland security.
2. Has CONSTRUCTION in process on the first 10 ABM silos in Alaska so that America will have a defense against North Korean nukes. Has ordered national and theater ballistic missile defenses to be deployed by 2004.
3. Announced a 9.7% increase in government-wide homeland security funding in his FY 2005 budget, nearly tripling the FY 2001 levels (excluding the Department of Defense and Project BioShield).
4. Before DHS was created, there were inspectors from three different agencies of the Federal Government and Border Patrol officers protecting our borders. Through DHS, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) now consolidates all border activities into a single agency to create "one face at the border." This not only better secures the borders of the United States, but it also eliminates many of the inefficiencies that occurred under the old system. With over 18,000 CBP inspectors and 11,000 Border Patrol agents, CBP has 29,000 uniformed officers on our borders.
5. The Border Patrol is continuing installation of monitoring devices along the borders to detect illegal activity.
6. Launched Operation Tarmac to investigate businesses and workers in the secure areas of domestic airports and ensure immigration law compliance. Since 9/11, DHS has audited 3,640 businesses, examined 259,037 employee records, arrested 1,030 unauthorized workers, and participated in the criminal indictment of 774 individuals.
7. Since September 11, 2001, the Coast Guard has conducted more than 124,000 port security patrols, 13,000 air patrols, boarded more than 92,000 vessels, interdicted over 14,000 individuals attempting to enter the United States illegally, and created and maintained more than 90 Maritime Security Zones.
8. Announced the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS), an internet-based system that is improving America's ability to track and monitor foreign students and exchange visitors. Over 870,000 students are registered in SEVIS. Of 285 completed field investigations, 71 aliens were arrested.
9. This week, the US-VISIT program began to digitally collect biometric identifiers to record the entry and exit of aliens who travel into the U.S on a visa. Together with the standard information, this new program will confirm compliance with visa and immigration policies.
10. Eliminated INS bureaucratic redundancies and lack of accountability.
11. Split the Immigration and Naturalization Service into two agencies: one to protect the border and interior, the other to deal with naturalization.
12. Signed the workplace verification bill to prevent hiring of illegal aliens.
13. Established a six-month deadline for processing immigration applications.
14. Information regarding nearly 100% of all containerized cargo is carefully screened by DHS before it arrives in the United States. Higher risk shipments are physically inspected for terrorist weapons and contraband prior to being released from the port of entry. Advanced technologies are being deployed to identify warning signs of chemical, biological, or radiological attacks. Since September 11, 2001, hundreds of thousands of first responders across America have been trained to recognize and respond to the effects of a WMD attack.

Judiciary & Tort Reform

1. Is urging federal liability reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.
2. Killed the liberal ABA's unconstitutional role in vetting federal judges. The Senate is supposed to advise and consent, not the ABA.
3. Is nominating strong, conservative judges to the judiciary.
4. Supports class action reform bill which limits lawyer fees so that more settlement money goes to victims.

Politics

1. His leadership resulted in Republican gains in the House and Senate, solidifying Republican control of both houses of Congress and the presidency.
2. Signed an EO enforcing the Supreme Court's Beck decision regarding union dues being used for political campaigns against individual's wishes.

Second Amendment

1. Ordered Attorney General Ashcroft to formally notify the Supreme Court that the OFFICIAL U.S. government position on the 2nd Amendment is that it supports INDIVIDUAL rights to own firearms, and is NOT a Leftist-imagined "collective" right.
2. Signed TWO bills into law that arm our pilots with handguns in the cockpit.
3. Currently pushing for full immunity from lawsuits for our national gun manufacturers.

Traditional Values, Compassion & Volunteerism

1. Endorses and promotes "The Responsibility Era." President Bush often speaks of the necessity of personal responsibility and civic volunteerism. He said, "In a compassionate society, people respect one another and take responsibility for the decisions they make in life. My hope is to change the culture from one that has said, if it feels good, do it; if you've got a problem, blame somebody else — to one in which every single American understands that he or she is responsible for the decisions that you make; you're responsible for loving your children with all your heart and all your soul; you're responsible for being involved with the quality of the education of your children; you're responsible for making sure the community in which you live is safe; you're responsible for loving your neighbor, just like you would like to be loved yourself."

Good News in Iraq

The enemy are being captured and "singing like birds." They set up mortar attacks but many times when they do that, they themselves become a target. Since they're not real good shots and it takes time to break down a mortar then flee... but they're dead usually by that time as we counterattack with superior training, weapons, technology, and yes, we're the good guys who don't try to blow up children on a daily basis.

God Bless our troops, they're getting better and better at fighting while the enemy, both "insurgents" and terrorists, are getting fewer and weaker.

Aiding the Enemy

Yes, terrorism's favorite mouthpiece, Aljazeera newspaper is loving Mr. Durbin.

"A US senator has refused to apologise for comparing the actions of US soldiers at Guantanamo Bay to those of Nazis, while others have decried or defended the mandate and method used to hold prisoners there.

US Senator Dick Durbin on Wednesday refused to apologise for comments he made on the Senate floor referring to Nazis, Soviet gulags and a "mad regime" like Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge in Cambodia."

Wonder if a Republican would of said something this full of hate and perfect for our enemy to recruit from and get away with it. We allegedly flush Korans, keeping them from sleeping extended periods, etc. Yes, there are a FEW unexplained deaths. A FEW. Nazis? Pol Pot? Bush? Treason??

Political points are not worth a single GI's death. No doubt this single article much less the other words by leading democrats with little or no merit have emboldened the enemy. They want this to be "Bush's Vietnam" but guess who did the dying? It won't be Bush.

Sad News in the Entertainment Community

It is with saddest heart that we must pass on the following
news. Please join us in remembering a great icon of the
entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died
yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from the
repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried
in a lightly greased coffin.

Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects,
including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California
Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Cap'n
Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with Flours. Aunt
Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described the
Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was Kneaded.
Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life
was filled with half-baked schemes. Despite being a little
flaky at times, he still, as a crusty old man was considered
a roll model for millions. The Doughboy is survived by his
wife Play Dough, two children John and Jane Doe, plus they
had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly
father Pop Tart. The funeral was at 3:50 for 20 minutes.

40 Billion Wiped Out

I'm glad that the US and Britton wiped out Africa's debt to them. I wonder though if it will help. Will they take this economic boom and invest or retain corruption and apathy and brace for the next bail out.

I pray that they use this to strengthen their money and economy. The Africans have suffered more then anyone on the history of the planet due to greed, Muslim persecution, and the West lording rules on them that they wouldn't do on themselves. (Like banning pestesides.) A strong Africa and any stron economy will always lesson political and moral decay.

Teens Abortion is NOT a Right

FORT WORTH - Social conservatives withstood a protest from picketers at a Fort Worth Christian school Sunday as Gov. Rick Perry signed legislation that some believe will ignite a "battle in Texas" over moral issues.
This battle has been going since the Cain and Able, enough grandstanding, just objectively report.)

Perry signed a bill requiring written permission from a parent before a minor can get an abortion. He also symbolically signed a proposition defining marriage as between a man and a woman, though it will be up to Texas voters to decide whether to amend the state constitution to reflect it.
Minors can't vote, drink, drive, but they are mature enough to remove a viable baby?? And rape/incest is less then 5 % so please don't use that scare tactic.

The governor drew criticism for choosing Calvary Christian Academy for the ceremony because some said it potentially violated a constitutionally guaranteed separation between church and state.
Yeah, Kerry, both Clinton's and many others NEVER used black churches to further their cause. Besides, Gov. Perry, unlike them, didn't do anything during a church service!!! It's a school, not a church service.

Perry, who has recruited a network of conservative pastors to help his re-election efforts next year, defended his selection of the school, which is affiliated with the Calvary Cathedral International church.
Gov. Perry has recruited many diverse groups, not just Christians and what's wrong with that?? Is it wrong for democrats to "recruit" their like-minded groups?

"Those people would be complaining; it [wouldn't] make any difference where we signed this piece of legislation. If we'd been in a Wal-Mart parking lot [instead], they'd still be griping about it." Said Perry.

While many protesters outside chanted "Separation of church and state," Perry said: "They don't like people of faith to be involved in this process. And people of faith are going to be involved in this process."

As an estimated 300 protesters picketed outside, some of the country's top socially conservative leaders shared the stage, each preaching the need for more religious faith in government to an overflow crowd of 1,000.
Only 300 protestors, how many agree with this decision? Multitudes more then 300. Liberals know the meaning of words. "Preaching" is a buzz word for "scary" Evangelicals pushing their agenda. All groups, if they worship God, the TV, or the self, all attempt to influence society. But Christians are called out for it since there is some unity and we're an easy target since there's such a thing as right and wrong.

"The time is now to reclaim our spiritual heritage," said Rod Parsley, from the Ohio-based Center for Moral Clarity. Parsley stressed the importance of pastors and others working for the approval of the gay marriage proposition.

Dwight McKissick, senior pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, said that, as an African-American, he was insulted by comparisons of the gay marriage movement to the civil rights movement. Homosexuals shouldn't "compare your sin with our skin," he said to wild applause.

Dan Rather get's fired so he gets a Peabody Award!!

In this story, Dan Rather left not due to falling ratings but "I'm not a victim of anything except my own shortcomings." It's later shown that he had little to do with the writing of the infamous story about Prez. Bush's National Guard service. This agrees with other reports questioning how much investigating Rather really does. Is he a journalist or anchorman? Oh well, as the big 3 newscasts lose their monopoly, other news sources emerge that give refreshing news, not the same "Xerox" versions.

1,000's of pictures from journalists risking their lives investigate and report mind-blowing killings and decapitations from the terrorists and insurgents but pictures of (gasp) a woman making fun of these insurgents wins a Peabody award. It's not right to mistreat our prisoners but pictures of kicking a Koran, forcing them to be awake, not allowing them to eat... as compared to sawing off someone's head hardly seems to be the biggest story worthy of a Peabody.

It has been proven that these legal questionings have saved our soldiers lives. How many lives are saved by killing contractors and Christian missionaries by our enemies?

Well, it passed. No discussion on the floor of Congress. Not much in the news media. In 3 years we'll have these national I.D. cards.

This article brings up a good point that there won't be one national database at first anyway. So there'll be 50 state databases but they'll have access to all other states. So a hacker, terrorist, or whomever just has to find the least secure state's database and can have access to ALL records. Hopefully I.D. theft won't increase as a result...

What could also be on the same database? "The law requires that states verify and store electronic copies of a driver's photo ID, birth certificate, and Social Security card, along with documents showing name and address."

Also, this could cost 1 billion bucks per state plus a new staff of people to keep it all updated and secure. It's the union's finest hour. Maybe it's just me but I don't know if all this will keep well funded terrorists from finding some sympathetic Americans to do their evil deeds as well as other ways of defeating I.D. cards. Big beurcratic systems always have ways around it. That means the law-abiding citizens get to pay billions for yet another sytem that will be flawed and broken.

Well you fell safe from terrorists or the government after this? For the government has a 0% success rate in cutting back systems. For instance, Social Security cards were originally supposed to used to track benefits... by LAW. Now you use it for many things.

Iraqi Man By Michael Yon

Michael Yon's blog is so good and refreshing. He's been with an American patrol in Iraq for over 6 months and tells the bad that's going on but the good too!! Since he tells about the good things that our military are doing, he will probably get a "conservative" tag but the only tag he should get is "journalist."

Some highlights from the May 21st blog:
- He's been on hundreds of raids witnessing the capture and deaths of hundreds of enemy soldiers and terrorists but has never seen a Koran tarnished in any way.
- Most car bombs are by amaturs that many times don't do much damage.
- They are NOT suicide bombers or martyrs but mass murders. The first two labels gives sympathy or credit where there is none.
- There are 5 groups that oppose the new Iraq. Old regime members and extremists. They mostly hate the other anti-new Iraq groups but differ in their causes from wanting Islam to rule the world to getting their power back as a minority Muslim group.
- The Iraq Army recruitment stations being bombed makes the news every time but rarely do we hear about their growing numbers and many successes against these 5 enemy groups.

Last Friday saw a great event involving 2 things that most Texans love more then anything... our soldiers and fishing. May 13th turned out to be "lucky" for over 1,000 soldiers from the largest Army base appropriately placed in Texas at Fort Hood.

This officially sanctioned fishing tournament with a $5,000 grand prize saw an exodus of civilans who donated their boats for the early morning event. On boat owner who was on a Fort Worth talk radio show said, "I've never seen so many boats on a body of water." For those who don't fish, they could enjoy live entertainment, carnival rides, free golf, 5k fun run, Budweiser Clydesdales, sermon by author and Bishop T.D. Jakes, B-1 Bomber fly-over, and free food!

God Bless our troops. Battling terrorists, rebels, (and as my last 2 blogs showed), the all-important P.R. battles that spell the difference between victory and defeat.

Well, we have Rathergate for Dan sprinting too quickly to get out a bad story on Prez Bush. Now we'll have Korangate. Yes, the story by Newsweek, one of the more liberal magazines out there, admits that its May 9th report that said U.S. interrogators desecrated the Koran at Guantanamo Bay by flushing it down the toilet might not be true.

The Pentagon is furious. Surely a large investigation will occur! 16 protesting Muslims have been killed and 100 injured during demonstrations. The story was by Michael Isikoff and John Barry.

This is so sad but I'm not sure which is more sad. That yet another news organization doesn't check its source and recklessly runs with a story that now has blood on its hands or the fact that this rabid response engulfed the entire Middle East. Afgan clerics were ready to call a Holy War towards the US and Israel. Why? An alleged story over ONE KORAN! It's a book people. It's not the heart.

Terrorists have killed thousands of fellow Muslims in car bombs in the Middle East with few protests and a single American soldier may or may not have flushed a single Koran and down the can and that gets their anger up. Good thing we don't riot or call for a "holy" war when they burn a precious American flag... We learned from the Crusades to act, not react. Maybe they should too.

March Against Terrorism

Evil or Just Lame?

"You have no rights but you're safe, happy?"

Could this be the beginning of the end of this world? Fine by me for this world has nothing to offer us who know Him who saved us from this world. ID cards could be here as soon as 2008 to save us from terrorists.

Under this proposed law, federal employees could reject drivers licenses or identity cards that don't comply, which could curb Americans' access to airplanes, trains, national parks, federal courthouses and other areas controlled by the federal government. The bill was approved by a 261-161 vote. "Small government" loving Republicans are leading this charge. It's insane.

How hard could it be for real terrorists to get a fake ID in Saudi Arabia and come here and get a green card or temporary citizenship? Or, they could still steal a car and blow stuff up, or go to work for an airline baggage service and get in an airplane, or there are millions of Muslims in this country legally who could be recruited, or, or, or, etc.

That's right. If signed into law and you don't take this "voluntary" ID card, no more flying on airplanes, trains, courthouses, opening bank accounts, etc. Know this, if it gets passed, the government has a 100% history of increasing their power once the foothold gets established. This WILL lead to not being able to buy groceries (to starve the "terrorists"), can't buy cars (so the terrorists can't drive their car bombs), and buy a cell phone (so terrorists can't call their mullahs.) Unfortunately, we're all assumed to be terrorists if we don't have this ID card for that's how we could be treated. Terrorists 'till proved innocent.

After it's quick success by the masses it could lead to other things. OOPS, you LOST yer ID card?? No problem, then "optional" ID cards can be implanted with currently available nanotechnology. Am I being paranoid? I hope so but please read this...

Crusading Damage Control

A number of Christian online magazines have done articles for the upcoming movie, Kingdom of Heaven. Some of them talk about the many Crusades in the 11th Century as though a majority of their reasons for genocide, (my word not theirs), were understandable when taken into context of the midevil times and culture they were living in.

Truth is NOT relative. The movie might be fine but the history behind the movie needs to be condemned. It is a complex issue with both sides acting poorly.

Christians implore Muslims to have a zero tolerance for terrorism. Christians must have the same vigor for a zero tolerance on the mass murder, looting, and shameful acts done in the name of God during the Crusades.

"Kingdom of Heaven" Movie

Oh boy. A movie about the Crusades from the 12th Century. Some reviews already are saying that it is somewhat accurate and shows Christian and Muslims as having good and bad elements. They say in this review above that it shows that "...it is not God's will for us to kill one another over 'God's will.'"

I hope it's true. But I have no doubt that some Americans AND Muslims opposed to the war on terror will see this movie and try to make some far-reaching connections. They will think that the old Crusades are back today disguised as the war on terrorism. All I can say is that the Crusades were wrong except when Jerusalem was attacked first which would be self defense.

Just know that America liberated Afganistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. These are no puppet regimes. It is true that Prez Bush insisted on them being a democracy but the political parties are up to the independent countries. They may even end up being opposed to America after they're truly liberated! That's no puppet government but the risk that free countries like ours make. The risk that they will support their liberators to a degree. Elected leaders usually try to help their constitutants so they can stay in power. Mullahs and Saddam had no such worries before and could do what they pleased.

Will this just be a movie, fiction mixed with historical facts to enlighten, or a terrorist recruitment tool. I pray that people who watch it see the good in it, not the archaic underside of Christianity.

Iraq has a smash-hit television show: "Terrorism in the Hands of Justice." The hour-long episodes without commercials are shown six nights per week on a government-owned, US-sponsored station.

I watched an episode with nine Iraqi translators working for the US Army. The translators say they "love the show," "watch it every night," and that Iraqis "downtown" chatter every morning about the latest episodes.

The format is simple: Captured insurgents start by admitting to crimes, such as killing Americans or Iraqi civilians. The insurgents also admit that they have not committed the attacks because of religion or national defense, but because their families are threatened, or that they are paid for the attacks, or both.

Some admit to taking the money from attacks, then to getting drunk or hiring prostitutes. The suspects on the episode I watched had not yet been sentenced. This situation can vault the mind's eye to disturbing vistas about the state of "civil rights" here. Yet Iraq is at war with itself, and justice in this area of the world is as far behind, by comparison, as are their non-existent space programs. For any country not at war, the idea of forcing suspects onto television—before being sentenced—is far beyond the boundary of mere "wrong." But I walked among the smoking debris of yet another car bomb a couple days ago. Civil rights require that most people respect the civilization enough to stop those who do not. Some folks in Europe and America are saying that the show is a travesty of civil rights. They are right. Better ideas are welcome.

If the television program is a Psyop ploy, it seems to be working. The episodes have so angered many Iraqis that tips to authorities are radically increasing. In a raid some days ago, based on information from such a tip, Iraqi and US forces killed about 85 insurgents. I accompanied a reconnaissance yesterday looking for more insurgents, and the US captain leading the patrol told me that one of the suspects on the television show had come from a village we were in. The captain said that the suspect had admitted to beheading 23 captives.

Many Iraqis apparently have felt that insurgents were attacking the government based on religious duties. The "invisible" insurgents can seem omniscient and increasingly omnipotent. When the people see that many insurgents are merely killers for hire—street thugs who talk with street dialects—the citizens call authorities. Psyop, or just smart, the program is working.

The peace can be won here, but the steep road ahead is only for the strong.

Homeschool

We're home-schooling our children. It's not for everyone but my wife is smart and dedicated enough to pull it off. Our church also has many childern and teens being home-schooled. So swapping ideas, lots of social events, and trading off subjects that we're not up-to-date on are all doable. This title article talks a little about who does it and why.

Public schools do teach kids and I am not anti-public school though I wish at least a portion of my property taxes would be refunded since that's where a majority of school funds come from in Texas. We like it since there is one on one teaching! I know of many kids in our church who finished school when they were 16, have plenty of college AP classes. ( I really like that idea so that the more things they place out of, the cheaper college will be for us!)

About 2 months ago, one young man from our church was on the local news since he just finished college at 18. Since there is such a big support network, these kids are mostly well-rounded and intelligent who get along with adults and their peers. Most go on to big colleges and don't "freak out" and get along with their peers just fine.
Remember field trips in school being such a big deal? Our kids enjoy field trips all the time. It's not always the kids museum but even going to the grocery store can be fun and practical knowledge. ... we might need a 2nd computer someday too.

It's amazing how much better their scores are compared to public school kids.

Christian Real Estate?

To: Christians who read this blog (and I'm writing this to myself too by the way.)

This link above is strange. The author barely hides her disdane for Christians courting other Christians for real estate dealings but that's not the strange part. Why do Christians so often try and escape the world and focus on looking after each other. How can we make a difference in the world if we're not around it? If non-believers only hear Christian stances on hot social and political issues but don't first hear about the love behind the stance, the Real Message will go on deaf ears. You will be seen as a rule keeper since they will not understand the Love behind the rules.

1Co 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of humans and angels but have no love, I have become a reverberating gong or a clashing cymbal.
1Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can understand all secrets and every form of knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains but have no love, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 Even if I give away all that I have and surrender my body so that I may boast but have no love, I get nothing out of it.

My church pastor talked about this last Sunday too. Christians have Christian music, shirts, friends, PENS, bumper stickers, auto mechanics, business directories, book stores, on and on. This is all ok but what about being salt and light to non-Christians? Why play it safe when we could change a life? Is life about safety or radically changing others and in doing so your self gets changed too. It takes a strong love to reach out of one's comfort zone to help others and even offer the Good News of Jesus. But that's what we're called to do.

Be in the world, just not OF the world.

Priorities, Part 2

This book is funny to me in the linked title above. "Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money--That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!" Nothing wrong with making lots of money but a book on it just strikes me as strange. Is it everyone's main goal in life to become rich? I guess some poeple don't understand that they need to spend less money then they take in, that debt is bad, and that good mutual funds will make money in the Long Term. So maybe the book and dozens like it serve some purpose if their priorities are correct. What is it about money that $oothes our mind and makes us forget what's important?

A book on farming I'm reading right now shows another way.

It's called "The Contrary Farmer" which is about farming but mainly about our "need" for so much materialism. The question then is... what makes YOU happy? A bigger car to drive an hour to work? A bigger house that you barely have time to enjoy? Put kids in extra daycare so you all can go on vacations?? More power tools to fix bigger appliances to eventually get bigger stresses, waistlines, divorces, anger... then we think back that money was supposed to solve our problems!?

Love is the best investment. Time with family is the "money" of love. Is Donald Trump happier then a poor man with a strong Christian family? Money is not the root of all evil. But the love of money is. I guarantee you I could find 100 3rd world Christian poor families happier in their dirt floor hut then some rich people with their millions. This may sound bitter to those who don't know me. No worries, I have a Masters degree and money could come easy with me and if my wife also worked full time. Are poor people guaranteed happiness? No, I don't mean to imply that either. Me in my modest house, with modest furnishings, shoes falling apart, but being around my beautiful kids reminds me that I'm the richest man in the world.

Woman's Right to Choose (Sometimes)

I know I've been "testy" this week but this story was too important to pass up. A woman has the "right" to choose if she has an abortion but what about breast implants?

"We strongly urge the FDA not to approve silicone gel breast implants," NOW president Kim Gandy told the FDA's scientific advisory panel. NOW, aka National Organization of Women, felt that these breast implants were dangerous to woman's health. Many women also testified that they wanted silicone implants...

Tons of studies also show that there is a high risk of physical and/or emotional damage to a woman who get abortions. So abortions on demand, no matter what trimester the unborn baby are in, are ok, but these breast implants are not? The FDA voted 5-4 to barely keep the ban on the implants.

Woman's right to choose in some cases but not others? NOW and other groups are for woman's rights if the rights meet their agenda. Here is a non-prolife scientific source below showing that low income women who have abortions have a 2.6 times greater risk to psychiatric treatment then low income women who birth their children.

Social Security Probs

Watching both political sides point fingers at each other is really comical. The Republicans want to privatize a small portion of Social Security (SS). How would voluntarily giving only 5% of one's SS earnings to the stock market help "shore up SS?" I know Prez. Bush's plan is more detailed then that but that is all we here about. That's his problem for not getting the word out effectively.

It's even more sad that Democrat congressmen have been able to sell this minor privatization issue to the democrats... and their fellow Democrats believe it's a big deal since their leaders tell them it is! Privatizing 5% will not hurt and if it's "too risky" to do that 40 year investment then opt out but some people would love to have ownership in their own accounts. Anyway, how will real reform ever happen if Republicans don't have the political will do fix it and democrats will balk at anything they suggest. Don't you think this would be a fine time for democrat Senators to counter attack with a better plan of their own??

Where's their plan to fix SS? hmmm. Do Democrats want Rush Limbaugh to do one of his sarcastic "see, I told ya so" speeches that Democrats don't want to fix anything so the issue will always be there and the people will need them in office to "fix it." That the people have a psychological fixation to the government to resolve all their problems, (though the problems never get fixed.) The only thing I've heard is in this article link in the blog title that Sen. Kerry wants to repeal "tax cuts for the rich" to help pay for SS. Oh my oh my. Is Rush right?

Unfortunately, cutting spending has the same issues involved as saving SS, which is that it takes tough decisions and a crystal clear campaign to the American people. That's 2 things that are not possible in Washington. They rather save their jobs then help the American people. And they haven't even started to talk about "saving" Medicare which is in deeper dodo with costs skyrocketing and the Medicare drug benefit which will grow and grow.

Pork will probably be gone from government when... well, when pigs fly.

Save yer money now for retirement and cut out your pork! We can't control the government too much besides letters and voting but we can control our finances.

No, since there is some question that this long-standing calendar is a few years off that the whole system is wrong. Ok, that was really bad but this story is great. An alleged finger was found in chili at a Wendy's restaurant in CA. The "victim" has a history of suing big businesses. She dropped the suit last week now this week was arrested for grand larceny.

It's sad that some people make a living suing others. Maybe this will make an example of one and hinder some others from doing it. I'm taking the family to Wendy's this evening for a burger and picnic. I like my burger for only a dollar and you know who pays for lawsuits and it isn't the business...

Ok, I'm a little late on responding to "Fahrenheit 9/11" but it took me this long to read the laundry list of errors, half-truths, and lies from authors who researched the movie's problems!

It is so distasteful to make money on the 9/11 tragedy which woke us up that thousands of people are at war with us. It was the modern Pearl Harbor. Add to that the one-sided "facts" about Prez Bush's handling of the war.

This movie is surely now a recruitment tool for our enemies as our soldiers fight them with some dying. This link in the title shows 59 falsehoods in the movie. (It is in .pdf format.) This link below is really unbelievable. Moore did a web chat in England just last Janurary. some things he said, "Our troops lost their moral compass so that's why they want to fight in Iraq." And, "The next 4 years will have President Bush take out the middle class and give money to the rich," etc. He left out other stereotypes like Republicans are racists, sexist, homophobic, and elitist.

In this case, a proclaimed witch sued a county for not allowing her to do opening prayers. This county has allowed many different religions and never uses a real God's name dare the appearance of partiality appear.

Now this witch didn't get to speak. The ACLU joined her lawsuit and the poor ACLU lost once again on a federal appeal. Wiccans are a religion! They say they worship mother earth though their prayers are focused on evil to gain their power.

"The court is allowing Chesterfield County to prefer some religions over others when it conducts its meetings' opening prayers," said Kent Willis, executive director of the Virginia ACLU. "This runs counter to every notion our Founding Fathers had about freedom of religion and separation of church and state."

Ok, the "state" is allowing "some religions over others" as this ACLU spokesman said. How hypercritical is that?! They admit that wiccans are a religion then the very next sentence say there should be a separation of church and state even though they are suing for a religion to pray at a "state" event. I know, I know, what he meant was that ALL religions should be allowed to talk. Sorry bud. The "Seperation Clause" isn't in the Constitution, please show where ALL religions MUST be allowed to talk. No, numerous religions in this county were allowed to speak. That fulfills the "requirement" of not establishing ONE religion. Doesn't mean all religions have to be given equal time.

You can't separate religion from public life. We ALL worship something. From a president to the homeless man down the street. Mainline religions to worship of the self or the Wiccan's "horned god." The ACLU will keep trying to poke it in our eyes but my eyes are wide open, thanks.

Prisoner's Only Hope

A Dallas-based company is about to start building a 620 bed faith-based prison to be located in Texas. The medium-security facility would be for inmates in the final two years of their sentences and would serve as a rehabilitation program.

It will be open to all faiths and the inmates will work too and the money will go to paying the expenses there, victim restitution, and savings. Very very nice!

I look forward to studies about the recidivism rate of these inmates after they get out. I wonder if it will be lower. It couldn't be any higher then it is now. Most studies show that traditional rehabilitation methods don't work. It's past time for this to be tried.

Iran "needs" nuclear fuel. That's funnier then the Noah joke below this blog. Anyone who believes that this terrorist and oppressive regime "needs" nuclear power for "peaceful" purposes might need to reconsider. Oh well, they may try for a nuke but that is not an option. Their government's goal is to eradicate Israel and even America if possible. But then again, what can we do to stop them? We're all tired of war and the UN is about as effective as NATO to stop anyone.

In the year 2004, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in the United States, and said, "Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans."

He gave Noah the blueprints, saying, "You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights."

After helping Afghanistan and Iraq, after saving Kuwait's rear end from imperialism, Libya stopped making nukes, etc. How much more can America do? Iran is looking to make nuclear weapons and I don't think too many people would disagree with that but what will happen if they fail to stop making them yet again? One or more of the possibilities below:

* US will attack Iran
* Israel will attack Iran

* UN will hope that Iran will join their Human Rights Commission ;)

* CIA help spur a real resistance in Iran to get their leaders focusing on their own survival.
* Civil war since the younger generation isn't too "hip" about the Mullah's rule.
* I suppose nothing if Bush doesn't think he can legally use the pre-emptive Bush doctrine on them.

Iran has repeatedly made official anti-Semitic remarks that basically the only good Jewish person is a dead one. State-sponsored terrorism is a fact according to cia.gov. Their army is smaller then Saddams and America wiped them out, so a nuke would be advantageous for their political survival as a bargaining chip.

If Iran makes a few nukes then they can flatten Tel Aviv with one then have a few more for defensive counter attacks. What if they get this Bomb(s)? At the same time, what is the World's, and more importantly, America's tolerance for more war even if it might save Israel or ourselves from a larger attack down the road from this nuke(s)?

As this article says, Iran shouldn't have a need for expensive nuclear fuels since they have more oil and gas then almost any other country. Iran needing nuclear power makes about as much sense as America needing to import corn.

Priorities?

If you have a wife/husband and especially if you have kids too, please listen, or read and listen to yourself I should say. Where are your priorities? Are they with your family?

I have been without work, some call it disemployed or aemployed. Some even call it unemployed. As strange to not "work" as it has been, it's been great. My wife and I have never been as close. My kids respond to me, even laugh at my jokes at times. I know it's weird but love takes time and effort and the family must be the priority.

Some will scoff and say it's too hard since they are working 3rd shift or just "don't have the time." What's more important, a big house and new car or your legacy as a parent and spouse? The big sale is nothing compared to the big gym class or soccer game. Think back to when you were a kid. Did your parent(s) let you down? Do you need to do the same? Move to a smaller house, change your job, go back to school to get a better job knowing that it's temporary. Change a life, your family is worth it. Best thing? It's never too late...

China Church Grows!

Even with more people in prison for their belief in Christianity then in any other country, the Faith in China only grows and cannot be stopped.

Another article goes on to say that there are about 700,000 Christians in China. Over a thousand a day are coming to the Faith. Wow. Think you got it tough, try going to church without a Bible to someone's home and hope that no one there is a spy for the government or one of the cults that also persecute Christians there.

Things to consider:

The Korean War lasted from 1950-53. Over 54,000 died as part of Containment Policy of the Communists during the Cold War. (Fighting the spread of communism.)
War in Iraq may last about 3 years too with 1,533 deaths as of today. Part of Bush Doctrine to fight terrorism and countries that support it. (Fighting the spread of terrorism.)

Many mistakes from Gen. McArthur like inciting the Chinese to join the fray. (Though overall a brilliant commander.) The war was very political being a UN event which caused further mistakes and added even more tough American lives to the death toll.
Now some retired troops speak about wrong armor and if we should be there. Also some talk about major and minor tactical mistakes.

Many Korean War atrocities occurred on both sides.
All wars have atrocities but I would guess that the Iraq War has few in comparison due to the extensive media presence and cultural awareness of our valiant troops.

Why do I say all this?

No "Korean War Vets Against the War" ever existed (that I know of.) Even after the Red Scare evaporated during the 1960's, these vets never spoke up in an organized way. Why? I don't know. They fought and died for similar circumstances as our troops today. Though so many more died and the military mistakes had an even greater cost back then. They weren't fighting to stop terrorists from coming over here, they were fighting communism half the world away.

I know they were part of the "Greatest Generation." They are also part of the "Silent Generation." Maybe that's it. They just that they didn't want to rock the boat about what happened. Or maybe they just did the job they were given and came back home to begin again in peace and silence.

A few "vets against the Iraqi War" groups are starting to pop up. It's their right to speak out against the government but after Sept. 11th and the Bush Doctrine came into effect, why did those people join the armed forces? War is a messy business. The government and our military leaders are made up of people who make mistakes. Not enough armor, more this and that, shouldn't of been there, etc.

This may be true or may not. I respect our soldier's sacrifices from the Forgotten War heroes of the Korean War, today's elite men and women, and all war vets for that matter. I hope that these new anti war vet groups will be respectful while they attempt to do what Vietnam vet anti-war protestors utterly failed to do. (Yes, they succeeded in getting the troops home quicker but at what cost to the morale of our fighting troops and POW's??) The ends should never justify the means.

Support the troops but not government decisions - Fine. It's tough to do but our fighting soldiers deserve that respect to support them. We'll see what these new anti-war vet groups do. Some Vietnam vet war protestors came home from the jungle with drug addictions. Since there isn't near as much of that going on today in Iraq, maybe their sober minds will help them choose their words more carefully.

Our friends at freemuslim.org are getting the world out about the first Muslim-led anti-terrorism rally at D.C. Very cool. May 14 and all peaceful religions are invited to join in the fun.

Terri Schiavo's husband is about to get good news... for him. His wife is about to die. He can't lose. Either he did something bad and she will be gone and her body gone to ashes so he'll be happy. Or he will be happy that he's truly following what his wife would of wanted and now she will be at peace.

I'm not going to go into the particulars of this case, it's been done. Though I do think that the husband should of been released of guardianship after denying treatment from the beginning. It's a guardian's responsibility to do all medical treatments they can for the Ward (Terri) and ONLY stop treatments after they are proven to be unsuccessful. From my experiences with Probate Courts and guardianships, which is a lot, the judges I know would of relieved him of his duties and given guardianship to someone else.

Just know that we all are accountable for our actions on Judgement Day. I'll see you in Heaven Terri and it will be a wonderful time.

He came into this world in a lowly manger and died on a bloody Cross... but that's not the end of the story, but the beginning of hope for us all.

His final words on Good Friday before the Resurrection...

So He forgives these people who mock Him. He does so even today for we all scorned Him but His passion was so great that he did not "save himself." For He was the only person in the history of man powerful enough as God's Son to be The Sacrifice to defeat sin.

Let's not get politics into the environment until we know what we're talking about.

A new study by a hospital has shown that the use of belt-positioning booster seats lowers the risk of injury to children 4-8 years old by nearly 60 percent compared to the use of seat belts alone. Their bodies just aren't the right size for adult-oriented seat belts. (ok, please get your mind out of the gutter...)

This hospital's web site in PA is very thorough so if you have a child that's 4-8 years old then please consider this or don't say Hos didn't warn ya. Even if your state's laws say that they don't have to be in booster seats past a certain age/weight, it doesn't mean that one shouldn't do it. If further studies come out then states will probably get around to adopt this... after your children are having children that is.

We did this one time and there were minor but still important things we were doing wrong that they corrected. Hitting a car at 60 MPH, you want that car seat to the as perfectly placed as possible. A man who disagreed with a colleges "play" showing that Jesus was gay and had sex with his apostles was put in involuntary mental treatment. Yes, there are some things we don't know about this case, but it sounds very fishy. I know my link is to a conservative web site but I've searched others and have found nothing more clear.

Have all the "plays" making fun of Christianity all you want, for this is a FREE COUNTRY. But when that freedom doesn't count for the opposing viewpoint, then freedom is gone and tyranny rules. This link is the most thorough I found on the subject. A federal panel of judges unanimously reversed a lower court's decision about AmeriCorps not being able to teach math and other subjects in a Catholic School. I used to be in AmeriCorps, though then it was called VISTA, Volunteers in Service to America. It's a federal program to revitalize inner cities similar to a domestic Peace Corps.

Seperation of Church and State isn't in the Constitution and now we have this seperation "clause." Ok, but that doesn't mean that ALL religion should be out of the public sector. This clause means there cannot be an establishment of ONE of the religions. If AmeriCorps finds a good Buddist School that teaches kids in the inner city, then I wouldn't have a problem with the community being helped out by an AmeriCorps teacher there.

Talk of God is etched on our buildings in D.C., on our money, and other places. We all have the right to choose our religion. "In God We Trust" is on our dollar bill. Does that hinder people who don't believe in God or believe in one of the polytheistic religions? It would only be an "establishment of religion" if only one religion was allowed. We're as far from that possible. This isn't Syria where you're a Muslim or in prison.

Freedom of religion as stated in the 1st Amendment is freedom indeed.

Amazing story of courage as a woman who lost her husband

to a murder was herself attacked by a killer! She didn't panic, showed him God's Love, and his main reqest was not how he would butcher her but if she would visit him in prison. That's love people!

I don't know if I could of had that kind of love in my heart after losing my spouse years before to a killer. If she would of reacted... instead of acted in love, she probably would be dead too. Not that this is how to act in all situations for each situation is different. But she followed God for what to do in this particular situation, AMEN!

Anger Makes Me Mad

IMHO, I don’t have a temper, but what my pastor said today, along with some of my own comments, may help others with a temper or even anger deep down. I myself am a “slow to anger” dude, but that doesn’t mean that I’m immune to unscriptural outbursts our feelings that are sin.

So this is for me from my pastor and my own personal notes, but hope it helps others too.

First off, God doesn’t usually work off of “sound bites” so if this is too long, then bookmark it and come back later, don’t think that it’s too long so it’s not important… unless, like I say, you NEVER get angry. Like a car cutting you off. Your wife not understanding you or you understanding her which causes anger. Your boss makes you feel like a moron... on and on.

Yes, anger is a part of life. How shall we handle it?

As 1 Cor. Says, “Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not provoked.”

Here are some myths about anger:

Myth #1: My anger is caused by external events and other people.

We all need to take into accountability our own anger. For we are judged by God not on what happens to us but by how we act, or react, to what happens to us. Think of the person you really dislike. “If it wasn’t for “this person” I would be a happy, smiling, loving, good-hearted person.” Do you really think this is true? Is one person that powerful that they hold you into anger and it’s all their fault? Say this with me, “I make me so mad!!!” Think how funny that sounds. Are we allowing another person to control our anger? Should we instead pray for them and love them? Take responsibility for your anger.

Myth #2: I can’t control my anger!

Jam 1:19 You must understand this, my dear brothers. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.
Jam 1:20 For human anger does not produce God's righteousness.
Jam 1:21 Therefore, rid yourselves of everything impure and every expression of wickedness, and with a gentle spirit welcome the word planted in you that can save your souls.
A common story here is that one might be fighting with the spouse, then the phone rings, how do you answer? “Hello?” In the most sincere and loving tone one could have seconds after a tough conversation with your husband/wife/brother/sister.

Let us all be slow to anger for it is in us to be slow to anger but it takes the Holy Spirit… or a phone call, hehe, to realize how true that is.

Myth #3: I must vent my anger to get it out of me!

This doesn’t’ make sense, for I have known angry widows in nursing homes still angry at their dead husbands years after their deaths. Time does NOT heal wounds. God does. If “venting cures anger” then the converse would have to be true, for some people would be sooo full of joy that they would be a “joy volcano” or a gratitude “time bomb.” It just doesn’t’ make sense. It would have to work both ways… but it doesn’t’ which shows the fallacy of it all.

Anger does not drain from you but just the opposite. It builds up in you if you keep it in the inside of your heart where God wants and needs to be. In some cases, anger can make some people feel powerful like they are holding something against someone. Though where’s the power in that it’s YOU that feels the pain.

Myth #4: Tell someone else how angry you feel about that other person

This friend may feel compelled to try and help you and agree that this other person wronged you. You may even feel better… for a time. But it doesn’t change the fact that the anger is still there, just accepted in your circle of friends. Does that change your heart? Does that make it right with God?

3 STEPS TO HANDLE ANGER:

#1: Be slow to anger, to not react, but to act on what is in YOUR control. You cannot control others no matter how hard you try but you can control your actions. You are accountable to just your actions, NOT to others actions for or against you.

Pro 14:16 A wise man fears, and shuns evil, but the fool is hotheaded and reckless.
Pro 14:17 He who is quick to become angry will commit folly, and a crafty man is hated.
Pro 14:18 The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

Another word in the original text for “prudent” is cunning. Sounds like something I want God to want me to be. Smart, wise, cunning.

#2: Ask yourself, “Why am I angry?” Hurt, frustration, or fear are the main reasons that can be reasoned with in a calm way most of the time.

#3: The biggest reason of all to not hate those who hate you might come as a surprise.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

I have died to myself. What RIGHT do I have to have anger towards another?? My rights are gone. His Rights Reign over me. Jesus loved us so much that he died on that cross so that anger, hate, bitterness, etc. would be things of the past to hold you down. Not that you won't feel it, but Jesus shows us the way to get past it.

Col 3:13 Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.

Is this easy, NO! Is it good for your health, oh yeah!

Though this study somewhat discounts stress in daily lives. I have worked in enough "end of life" situations to see personally and professionally that anger and stress, etc. can somehow cause, in some cases, death. It’s amazing. I have seen numerous times a couple married for 50 years and when one dies, the other will die soon after. Not to say it's due to anger necessarily, but our emotions and Spiritual lives affect our physical life.

Let it go, your enemies will still be there weather if you die from being angry about them or not! God loves you and will give you peace IF we ask and receive it.

Arabs Fighting Terrorism

The link below shows that there is a voice for Muslims to fight terrorism. Though they may risk their lives, MORE Middle East Muslims and Arab Americans must show the world that their religion is not about killing innocent people and hate. This is a great way to show a united front with all religions to ban together and make the terrorist recuriters the cowards and hate-mongers that they are. Only Muslims can pressure radical Muslims against terrorism. I know there are different interpertations of the Koran but peaceful and, like the site says below, "modern" interpertations must pravail.

The sooner the "insurgents" leave Iraq, the sooner our soldiers come home. Freedom must prevail with a united front. I don't mean to say that Muslims share a lot in common with other religions. This is a political fight I'm refering to, not a religious fight in some ways. For politics are about power and influence and let all religions ban together to fight terrorists who seek power through fear and violence.

Then we can have the freedom to worship as we please without terrrorists who threaten to kill us all!

I know some Arab countries are showing a front to fight terrorism, but how much of that is because they hate what terrorists do to Islam's image and how much is it political survival. Many of these terrorist groups want to overthrow them too! That does not make some of these countries anti-terrorist. Like in Pakistan and other countries, it makes them fighting terrorism for political survival but maybe not the needs to improve their religious standing in the world community. Terrorism will fail, all hate groups do eventually, but they need to be held more accountable.

Meaning of Easter

The word Easter bother me. Shouldn't it be named "Resurrestion Day?" Is this another attempt to water down the true meaning of "easter" which is when Jesus rose from the dead and conquered sin. For all who believe in Him also conquer sin for He is our power. Same as Christmas and Santa Claus but that's for another blog.

Easter is coming, the meaning is profound and no Cadbury egg can explain the significance of the eternal meaning that can only occur on our hearts.

God Bless this time for Jesus died for all even though we mocked him and are undeserving, hence the Passion of the Christ as a Gift. Then He was raised on the 3rd day, as prophesied 600 years before, defeated death, and all who believe in Him also defeat the first death for eternal life awaits. This life is but a test. It's really simple, so consider Jesus. Who else died for mankind for we all mocked Him? Love has no greater representative. He loved us even as we hated Him.
After His resurrection, Jesus showed himself to hundreds of people before being risen to Heaven without death.

Sin's greatest pleasure is death, Jesus took away this lie and this is where the term "born again" comes in. For we're born again in Him and mortal death is but a bridge that Jesus gave us to cross. We walk on Him as this bridge from sin to to Heaven. Before, there was the Grand Canyon seperating us with sin from God, now Jesus is the bridge to cross!!!

if you care to see that one. Now here's the top countries where being a Christian or converting to the Faith will get you in prison or a quick death:

What are they so afraid of? Are all these Christians "agents of the US" as some have said? Why are they so insecure in their muslim or buddist faith or communist culture of fear?? I think they know their systems of belief are not based on love for they pray to an angry God or an angry dictator, depending on the country. No inner peace resides in these choices. This leads to rebellion and the only way to try and quash that is with fear- carried out by imprisonment and murder.

If there is no power in Jesus then why should they care? Freedom is inside all hearts and will be heard eventually, fear only stunts the progress but will always then carry on.

Remember that next time someone asks you if you want to talk about Jesus. You say "no!." Be thankful that a loving Christian will not then call the authorities and have you and your family killed or arrested. Are Christians perfect? No way. But I don't see the US on this list either...

Clinton, A Nice Guy

Say what you want about Clinton, after some other democratic choices since him, Clinton seems almost conservative, hehe. He was a populist president whereas now his party seems to show signs that the minority far-left interest groups are taking over.

Being a (mostly) good news blog, I liked this story below. During the Tsunami relief effort with Bush '41 and Clinton sharing a plane to promote aid and relief efforts, allegedly there was only one bed and Clinton gave it to elder Bush. Clinton then slept on the floor. Now we could talk about how this small but nice act of kindness made it to so many papers, but let's not get too involved into the media's facination with Clinton. The democrats need some good news and this is a start! A strong America is when more then 2 parties battle it out and only the best bipartisan legislation will make it. The less legislation that gets passed the better generally speaking in my book.

Oh well, take care President Clinton. I don't have to vote for someone or agree with their positions to show them respect. Wish quite a few democrats would show Pres. Bush the same courtesy. Also, anything he did while president is done. It is now between him and God as far as forgiveness goes. Let's just leave it at that. I know I've made some mistakes in my life. Sin is sin, doesn't matter if that sin took place in the Oval Office or a janitor's office.

Martha Stewart's Out Of Prison, She Still Rocks!

Martha Stewart is out of prison. She served her time as she should of. Public trust in the stock market is a serious matter. She is an easy target for others for her controling ways, perfectionism, and temperment. (Though a controling man is seen as "assertive," huh.) But let's not forget that she helped to show the World that America is full of a unique culture of different tastes. When they are used to seeing us as trash TV or worse. And for the record, just cause she did a craft or recipe in a "perfect" way, be secure in yourselves. It doesn't make you less of a person to not do it her way. Just like we don't have to be the Cleavers from "Leave it to Beaver." But that doesn't mean that Mr. Cleaver should be made fun of even though he was a model dad.

Why do we have to have shows that ridicule the family and traditions? To make us feel better? What's wrong with "perfect" families on TV. Like the "Cosby Show" or "Andy Griffith Show." Please don't be insecure if you don't live up to that. None of us do. That were morality tales to show us the best that man... and in Martha's case, woman can look up to. Don't make fun of these shows since our childhoods or families don't emulate them.

Back to Martha Stewart. Her role, that made her a billionare, is to show her opinions on the diversity of American cultures in this great country. Yes, I set myself up for ridiule here. Martha is not a Savior, there's only one Perfect God-Man to enjoy that role as a way to follow. But she's better then Jerry Springer or others to show the world that America is full of culture and creativity. Now she's back with 2 shows in the works. I wish her the best now that she's learned her lesson in the Big House. Let's forgive her. Jesus forgave us and we did far worse then she.

Culture is missing in America. Culture and religion are the foundations of America. Thank you Martha (and Andy Griffith) for helping to keep it alive. And for all those who think that they must be like Martha or are a failure of a woman. Get over it. She only shows a high example of her take on culture. It's up to you to follow her lead or not, no pressure to do so, just examples that she gives, take 'em or leave 'em. She's an American success story in capitalism.

Maybe a Christan alternative isn't far behind? Sewing, scrapbooking, cooking in soup kitchens, serving others with missions, fixing others houses, selflessness, giving God the Glory... that would be the coolest show ever. Mixing culture and Christianity. A reality show of Christians and culture... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

France's objections are considered the main obstacle to the EU approving the move to add Hezbollah to the terror list. So France has a bigger problem with the US taking the fight to terrorists then fighting a well known terrorist group? The Bible says, "Fear not, for I am with you."

So the French do not want to "upset" a worlwide known terrorism group. It's not amazing with the French's ties to Iraq that they were against the US going to war in Iraq. But yet some feel this "educated" body of governments need to all agree that our national security is at risk. This is why Prez. Bush got the resolution for force, (quite the UN coup btw), for the Germans, Russians, and French pose a grand conflict on interest due to the debt that Saddam owed them in money... as if they would ever get that money back anyway. Not to mention to hate all things American.

Not to mention their fear overriding solid doctrine of coddle politics. Let's appease them... much as we did with Germany after they captureed Poland and Czechoslovakia. Let's be nice to the Nazi's... they'll go away.. oh oh!!!!!!!! Appeasment shows an enemy who's destiny is to kill us that we are weak. The Koran teaches that the only way to eternal life is myterdom. All Muslims alive live every day in fear hoping that they act right to an angry god and they might make it to their heaven but not sure.

Egypt saw numerous protests to challenge another roadblock in their struggle for democracy. Syrian's should start leaving Lebanon after their puppet government collapsed and resigned (see pic above.) Ukraine now has a pro-West govenment after the first fixed elect was righted. Afganistan is still recovering well after the Taliban were routed and fled to the mountains like the cowards they are. UN countries have promised to help the rebuilding of Iraq after some diplomacy by Condie Rice and Prez. Bush.

Prez. Bush is looking like he will support Iran into the WTO IF they give up their search for nukes. This shows that sometimes hard-line manuvering towards a country can have positive results. That's leadership. Just like Reagan and the Iron Curtain. Yes, there were good guys and bad guys back then and it's still true today. Iran is not a good guy at the moment... and yes, we are the good guys for some who aren't too sure. Now what will happen if Iran cannot meet the strict requirements of the WTO? At least America won't be seen as an "agitator" and Iran had their chance.

It's a great thing for America was wanting Iran to improve their economy anyway and for Iran to join the WTO, they will have to make major positive changes. This is a great issue for ALL NATO countries agree that Iran cannot have a nuke. Europe and America have a common goal once again. Everyone knows that there is state-sponsored terrorism there.

Times, they are changing. For the good? Hard to see how these governments could be worse and when the people are emboldened to speak up to their oppressors, that's a good start.

With elections in Iraq over,
with a big majority actually voting even though death could of been around any corner,
with their own forces starting to take over and,
with civil order slowly coming around...
you will still hear that people who hate all-things-Bush will find something to try and slam this progress. Really sad, for I've read the Al-Jazeriah newspaper and they pick up on absolutely any negative comments from the West then distort it to meet their anti-American agenda with millions of middle easterners reading it.

What will happen in Iraq? Some of their women will be found to be oppressed. Some Iraq forces will take revenge on Baathists that oppressed and killed their families and friends for years. Nay-sayers will point to these imperfections and see how "unstable" Iraq is thanks to Bush and his short-sighted policies. One huge problem with that.

Think back to your American history books. A majority of early American settlers were more suited to democracy so they should of had an easy time with it, right? But what happened? Indians were massacred. Blacks were murdered and treated like animals as slaves. Women couldn't vote until what, 80 years ago? See my blog below about the 1960's! Blacks and whites didn't go to war together until Vietnam. Many presidents killed or wounded by our own people.

We got our own problems and the Iraqi's will learn as we learn. Notice I didn't say the past-tense, for we too are still learning how to be civil towards one another. So bring up Iraq's problems all you want, considering how long we've been a "stable" country but we still have major problems. A lack of love is at the root of all evil.

Martin Luther King Jr. is the king of the black civil rights movement in the 60's. For instance, he led the boycott of segregated buses for over a year when Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in a bus in December 1955, (eventually resulting in the Supreme Court decision outlawing discrimination in public transportation).

In 1957 he was chosen president of the newly formed Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and he began to broaden his active role in the civil-rights struggle while advocating his nonviolent approach to achieving results.

No, he wasn't a perfect man, but dare to wonder how the world be a different place if a majority of black people believed in the radical ways of Malcolm X. Mr. X wrote this about MLK, "He got the peace prize, we got the problem.... If I'm following a general, and he's leading me into a battle, and the enemy tends to give him rewards, or awards, I get suspicious of him. Especially if he gets a peace award before the war is over." Sounds like sour grapes to me.

Yes, Malcolm X changed his views a few times but MLK was a consistant leader and when white people saw him lead others with non-violence and STILL got kicked around or worse by racist white people, that changed people. They showed love and compassion for those who persecuted them as Jesus taught. It changed public opinion with this love and opened people's eyes that oppression was real and had to be stopped as a civilized society. It was on the front page of the papers now and the white man were the bad guys. That's guts, that's love, that's amazing waht he did during this crazy time. He helped to unify black people in a positive way. Too bad no one has really taken his place since then.

Today black people still need leadership promoting love for others and their own communities with social ills hitting blacks greater then other minorities. It's almost as if they are persecuting themselves now without a good role model to help lead the way. MLK's main strength came from Christianity, can't go wrong with that. No matter what your color or the social ill is.

I saw a special documentary on our fight in Iraq. Seeing the battles, the soldiers, and the scene was amazing. God Bless our soldiers. They died for their country, for Iraqi freedom, but most of all, like in all wars, they fought for each other.

The local PBS was one of the few who chose to do the unedited version. It really wouldn't of mattered to me for swearing in battle isn't that big of a deal to me. But I can understand the FCC having some issues with it.

I loved one part where a local cleric didn't give up the addresses of known terrorists operating under his nose. Then a high ranking American officer came in and called his bluff and he couldn't write down addresses fast enough. Just the way he handled the situation was so smooth though it is a complex situation.

Another story showed that a local shiek was charging money to use the local toilets that the Americans built for the locals to be used for free.

Another quote in the field by a Sgt. to another local cleric. "My first intention is to build schools, roads, and water... it's not my intention to fight but that's what we have to do before we build for you. You need to help us with these terrorists."

Where is the old Media in covering the good news? Or is good news not "news?"

There should already be talk about a memorial. It took the other American war memorials 20 or more years before they are erected. A memorial needs to be discussed yesterday in honor of the freedom fighters, America's Finest. I would travel to D.C. to visit it.

The Iraqi National Guard and voters who have died need a memorial in their country too. Last but not least, a huge memorial to the thousands that were tortured and murdered at Saddam's command MUST be erected ASAP. They must never forget what happened so it will never happen again.

Restless Leg Syndrome, Arg!

It seems as though we ALL have some sort of problem for our bodies will not be perfected until Heaven when we receive new bodies that never hurt or will be in pain. Well, until then, we all got something wrong with our bodies that sometimes needs medical attention. Here's mine...

What is Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)?
Restless Legs Syndrome is an overwhelming urge to move the legs usually caused by uncomfortable or unpleasant sensations in the legs. The sensations have the following features:

* Occur during periods of inactivity
* Become more sensitive in the evening and at night
* Are relieved by movement of the limb
* Often cause difficulty staying or falling asleep, which leads to feelings of daytime tiredness or fatigue
* May cause involuntary jerking of the limbs during sleep and sometimes during wakefulness

It might need you seeing a neurologist or on some medications that are for Parkinsonism. RLS is a very distant cousin of that tough disease. RLS is progressive without a cure but is not deadly. It is not fully known but has something to do with the lack of your brain to process dopamine. But when you take long car trips or try to sleep at night you feel quite frustrated. That's becuase it strikes when your legs are at rest.

No one knows exactly how many people suffer from the lifelong condition for which there is no cure, but the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) estimates 12 million Americans have it. Slightly more women are affected by the disease, and it tends to strike in middle age. (of course I got it early!)

This mainstream article fails to mention that the normal mediations used to treat RLS, like most meds, fail to work due to the body gaining a tolerance over time. Then the more you take, the more the stomach or other organs start to "take offense" and starts to give you side effects and then you try another medication and the cycle starts over.

It's the most underdiagnosed disease, period. For most people who suffer from it just assume they have "crawly legs" or "ants crawling inside their bones" and they walk around, (for temporary relief), until they're exhausted then finally get to sleep. Thanks to the web, I did my research and got treatment. Doctors normally don't know what you're talking about and may even think you're making it up. (Which is also why it's so under reported.) That RLS web site above has a great medical booklet to mail your doctor full of big fancy words so they will take you seriously and can refer you to a neurlogist. The web site also has a great list of them too!

Just cause it's not deadly doesn't mean you don't need your sleep. There are drugs like Mirapex and other safe meds that help at low dosages. Get help, get some sleep. There's a reason why nothing is on TV late at night, everyone else is asleep, you should be too!

Last, this is the best doctor moderated Q and A where a great doctor gives answers to potential remedies, quack cures, and general tips. It's a huge database and it's purt good.

Parrot Joke
So there's this fellow with a parrot. And this parrot swears like a sailor, I mean he's a pistol. He can swear for five minutes straight without repeating himself. Trouble is, the guy who owns him is a quiet, conservative type, and this bird's foul mouth is driving him crazy.

One day, it gets to be too much, so the guy grabs the bird by the throat, shakes him really hard, and yells, "Quit it!" But this just makes the bird mad and he swears more than ever.

Then the guy gets mad and says, "OK for you," and locks the bird in a kitchen cabinet.
This really aggravates the bird and he claws and scratches, and when the guy finally lets him out, the bird cuts loose with a stream of invective that would make a veteran sailor blush.

The Criminal and The Juror.....

As he surveyed the jurors in the courthouse, a wave of panic came over the criminal. Certain that he wouldn't beat the murder rap, he somehow got a hold of one of the jurors and bribed her with his life savings if she would go for a verdict of manslaughter.

Much to his relief, at the end of the trial the jury did convict him of manslaughter. Tears welling in his eyes he managed to have a moment with the juror before being led to prison. "Thank you, thank you, thank you. How on earth did you manage it?" he asked.

"It sure wasn't an easy task," she admitted. "They all wanted to acquit you!"

DDT

There is conclusive evidence that DDT has saved millions of lives. But it's either been banned or the WTO and UN are pressuring mostly poor African and South American nations to not use it or they'll cut off financial aid. America used DDT up through the 1960's but it became a political issue with little proof from the scientific community about its adverse effects on humans and animals. So even though the scientific community could not condemn it, under envriomental groups, it was banned. Guess they were thinking better save then sorry, scientific evidence will catch up with our ideals and hatred for chemicals.

No one's saying that it should be showered down upon us in buckets. But tons of studies, (I'd be glad to post them if anyone wishes, but it's a known appaling FACT,) that limited of DDT in households saves millions of lives instead of these poor people being killed!! But the WTO and UN says to use nets over your bed. The mosquitos are scared now! Many studies show that with DDT, tons of people live, then political pressure causes DDT to stop being used, the death toll rises right after its stopped being used! With Canada and other countries price controls, these companies have to make a return on their investment in America. Now Medicare and some groups want price controls in America. There's a reason why most of the new drugs that save lives and give the world a better life comes from American drug companies, they have the money to do research and developement. But let's just focus on drug companies billions made for Viagra, and not all the drugs we never hear about that didn't work after testing, researching, lobbying, and paying their workers. If you got less money, then would YOU work harder? Our would you have to scale back. Price controls will force companies to cut back. What's scary about this is the reliance of "international law." Do Swedish judges not feel they have enough power or insight to make their own law? Now the UN is getting involved and wants to make homosexual rights part of human rights. Have homosexuals been persecuted as much as Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddists, etc. in the past or is this political correctness gone to the extreme. Is homosexuality a religion or race or creed or color?

The UN wasn't too worried about Saddam and his proven WMD's used against the Kurds, so they choose to fight for homosexual rights?? With the

Iraqi Oil for Food corruption fiasco and the UN's confusing strong arm with ousting Yugoslavia's murderer Slobodan Miloshevich but not Iraq, I feel the UN is losing it's weight as a real international LAW enforcer. No, they're taking on "kinder, gentler" issues as way to enforce their secular humanistic morals.

For instance, the UN in the Sudan? Check my last blog. Hundreds of thousands of Christians have been murdered or enslaved as servants and concubines. The UN is FINALLY doing something about it.

I don't have a hurtful bone in me against a homosexual but this is an example of our freedom of speech being torn away slowly but very surely.

All people need protection from physical harm but putting someone in jail for talking about a Biblically sinful lifestyles as a "hate crime" is wrong. Freedom of speech brings out the worst in people but it also brings out the BEST in people. No freedom is more important then to talk openly without fear of the state.

If you think it's cool he went to jail then beware. A group you don't like could be on this growing list of no-no's. You don't like obese people? They have mobilized as a growing political lobby giving them power and then... no more fat jokes!! Jail time or fine for you?

Relief for the People of Sudan??

There seems to finally be a truce in the 24 year old civil war in Sudan which has caused 2 million deaths and even more refugees.

One of the legacies of the war was the enslavement of many Christian southerners, particularly women and children, who were abducted by government-sponsored militias and taken north to work for Arab masters. There, they face forced labor, rape, and forced Islamization, according to campaigners.

India May See Lessoning of Persecution

It's amazing that in this country of mainly Hindus and Muslims that Benny Hinn, the American TV Evangelist, got to do a huge stadium-packed revival of sorts. This shows that the new government in India, that overthrew the previous dogmatic one, may be secular indeed and may allow more religious freedoms.

Why couldn't other less controversial evangelists come into this great land of India? I'm not saying that Hinn is a fraud, but I am suspect of some of his miracles. Anyway, it's great that India's new government allowed him to come to their land and he was widely accepted. There were protestors but the fact that he got approval to speak to the masses is a step in the right direction. COOL! Much Christian percecution exists and prayer is still much needed.

Change Hearts to Fight AIDS in Uganda

You have to change people's attitudes about sex to lower AIDS levels in Africa or anywhere for that matter. Condoms only education sends a mixed message. Not that condoms should not be used or distributed, but this is a spiritual issue of the heart. Condoms address the symptom, not the root cause, which is lust through promiscuity and adultry.

How has Uganda's AIDS epidemic drastically decreased while it's neighboring countries has not? In secular terms from a secular site:

Shows good overview of Iraqi elections

How can it be that the old Media ONLY covered the bombings but not the millions of dollars that troops have used to rebuild war torn areas, schools, electricity plants, and other infrastructure?

If you didn't know this... then ask yourself WHY?? A bias exists that they didn't want to show objective sides of the story, only bombings along with Kerry & Kennedy who slammed the war every chance they got. (At least Kerry won something... the Superbowl game...) Sen. Kennedy got a ton of coverage along with Kerry's "Withdraw Now, pleeeze??" approach. Wow, I would hate to see the old Media with the gloves off and fully showing what they are, liberals without the pretense of objectivity as journalists.

Too bad what we heard about, day in and day out, was just that last sentence, "so Americans ...would leave Iraq." Those first 2 reasons are also common general reactions to the Iraqi's voting, hmmmmm. It was 3rd on the Iraqi's list of reasons but 1st on the media's / democrat's reasons.

Check this pic out below. The Iraqis voted in droves, much to the disdane of the old Media. But it's a fact so it must be reported with our without their "reporting" afterwards. To tell us what we should think about it. This pic shows the brave soldiers of freedom who stood in hours long lines, exposed to terrorism, to VOTE. Why the media didn't know this great Iraqi turnout was expected shows their lack of investigation into Iraqi politics or even worse, their bias as "objective journalists."

I mean, after thinking about it, the vast majority of the country is Shiits so it makes sense that their part in the violence will stop since they see they now have power after years of oppression at the hands of the minority Sunnis. (Who make up 20 % of the country and Saddam is a Sunni so he led his minority with power.)

The "purple freedom fingers" have spoken so to speak. It will still be a hard road. Good thing Kerry wasn't in office. These elections would of been postponed until it was "safe" to hold elections. He'll never learn that to be "safe" will only endanger American soldier's lives. For delays in the election will only show the terrorists that their strategy is working and the power of their people could not of been heard. We hear their voices now, and it's music to all people's ears who love FREEDOM! May this be the start, along with Israel, Afganistan, and a few other democracies in that region.

No, I'm not slacking! Though it is Sunday and a busy one at that with my chuch paying for an appreciation pizza party for a ministry team I lead and then the super bowl party= MORE pizza, (It's a very good day.)

But I've enjoyed the various coomments from the previous day's blog. Read the blog and links if you have time and give your 12 cents! (2 cents adjusted to inflation, minimal taxes since our government doesn't tax the poor, and multiplied by 100% since I really enjoy all respectful comments!)

Hip Bible Translation...Cool?

Zondervan Publishing is releasing a more plain spoken Bible, TNIV, aimed at those 18-35 years old. (Cool, I just made the cut!) It's a literal translation of the Bible but makes it easier to read. I guess that's a good thing. But anytime you mess with the Bible, that's a risky thing for its influence is so great in shaping a generation of new believers.

This new Bible was done by the same team who came out with the NIV version. I think the NIV is "plain spoken" enough. If one makes the Bible too easy to read, not only does one risk misinterperting the Bible, but also dumbs down the content. I've read many scriptures and read them again years later and they have a new layer of meaning. Like poetry, the deeper one gets, the more meaning is received. But if the poetry is like, "jack and jill ran up the hill...", then I don't know if that leaves room for as much thought and meditation to get out of the material. But if it brings some people to understand who would otherwise be intimidated by the Bible, then I guess it's a good start.

One Bible that I don't like anymore is The Message Bible. It's NOT a literal interpertation of the Bible but it too is "plain spoken." It's one thing to be clear and modern in speech, it's another thing to misquote sacred texts of the Bible.

Sex Sells but the Price is High

Everywhere you look is sex. On our TV shows, sexy commercials for shampoo?, magazine covers where women's liberation seems to mean that they're "liberated" to be sex objects but then not taken seriously for what is in their minds. It's in our high school textbooks which some textbooks openly endorse sex. Shouldn't just a biological explaination be enough?

There is so much peer pressure to do sex, alcohol, drugs, and other things to be "cool." Here's a web site and a coalition to make purity cool! Positive peer pressure is important now more then ever...

This is a great idea to have a Purity Day in high schools where on Feb. 14th, those who choose to wait to have sex until marriage will wear white t-shirts. How bold this young generation is! They've seen the broken hearts, abortions, and guilt. Sex is a wonderful thing that God gave us for pleasure and procreation. But there's reasons why one has to be a certain age to vote or go to war but sex, anything goes?
